and decided he wanted to play around with UE4 and " fell in love with the visual programming", he ultimately decided to leave the group and work on his own game in order to control the pace, but he still keeps in contact with team members.Īccording to Emir, adding new characters isn't a big issue, once he has "nice solid blueprints" and the attacks and animations all done, he'll be able to add characters without having to worry about editing multiple blueprints, he currently has all of Goku's forms ready except SSJ2, so you'll be able to go from SSJ to SSJ3, SSJ God, SSJ God SSJ and SSJ4, additionally he has Vegeta including most of his forms, SSJ4 Brolly, and Beerus, he also noted that you'd be able to customize the character's appearance to fit your desires " For example, if you're playing as SSJ4 Goku, you can change his hair to maybe that of SSJ4 Gogeta with the color of a SSJ God SSJ. The game is already integrated with steam for multiplayer support, but because of the increased difficulty that would come with setting up a multiplayer demo we may need to wait a little longer for this.
#Dragon ball unreal software
The game has been in development for around 6 months, but Emir is only able to dedicate 3-6 hours a week of his free time to working on the project outside of working as an Assistant Chef, I asked if he was in software development or if he had ever made a game before he replied " Nope have never done software development or made any type of game before, and my job is a chef's assistant haha but no I have never even done anything close until a few months back."Įmir is currently working on the project solo, he occasionally gets assistance from a friend with animations and camera effects. I asked many questions in order to get a little background on the motivation to make the game and what past experience he may have in development. After searching, I couldn't find much talk about the game, but was able to find a YouTube user by the name of " emudshit", the originator of this video that has DBZ fans from all over crapping their pants: After finding the video, I was able to reach out to the man behind this game, 22 year old Emir from Perth Australia.
This pre-beta DBZ game that looked too good to be true, I had to get to the bottom of this and play detective. One man is behind this game and he's putting Bandai's current attempts to shame! I am happy to say that I officially verified that this game is in fact in the works, but not by a big studio, not even by a large team. In disbelief and not able to find anyone covering it I set out to verify the authenticity of the video I had seen. I recently stumbled upon a video of someone testing out the fighting and camera of a game titled "Dragon Ball Unreal."
